How we review church software

Every entry follows these rules, including the entries for Church Posting's own products.

Last updated

In plain words

  • Prices from the vendor Every price is read off the vendor's own page, linked and dated. The last full read was July 28, 2026.
  • Who should skip it Every entry names the church that should pass on the tool.
  • Our products go last Church Posting products sit last in their list, labeled, with a line that says they are ours.
  • Nobody pays No vendor pays for an entry or a place in a list, and our links earn no commission.

Where the reviews stand

Each entry rests on what the vendor publishes: its pricing page, its documentation and its terms, as they stood on the date the entry gives. No entry yet rests on an account we paid for and used. When one does, the entry will say so and give the date.

Prices

Every price is read off the vendor's own page, and the entry links to that page so you can check it. Prices in the directory were last read on July 28, 2026. We print a processing fee the way the vendor states it, with the percentage and the charge per gift together. When a vendor publishes no price, the entry says the vendor publishes no price.

Who should skip it

Every entry names the church that should pass on the tool. A review that only praises reads like an advertisement, and it cannot help a church decide.

What Church Posting makes and what it recommends

Church Posting publishes churchposting.com and owns Church Posting Plus. Church Posting also makes the free tools, Covenant OS, Berean Blue, Free Church Texting and Church SEO Experts. Scott and Will Hamilton, a father and son, own Church Posting.

Berean Blue appears in the directory beside the tools it competes with, and Covenant OS appears beside the systems it competes with. Each carries the label "Church Posting product" and the line below. Each sits last in its list, after the tools a church can sign up for today.

Covenant OS is Church Posting's own product. The line carries the product's own name on its entry.

Money

No vendor pays for an entry or for its place in a list, and no vendor sees an entry before it is published. The links on these pages earn us no commission. Our own products are labeled wherever they appear in a list.

What rules a tool out

  • The church cannot export its records to a file that opens without the software.
  • The fee schedule stays hidden until after a sales call, and the company will not send it in writing.
  • The company sells or shares congregation data, or its privacy policy leaves room to.
  • Attendance, giving or Bible reading earns points, streaks or a place on a leaderboard.
  • A church under 200 members has to sign a contract longer than a year.
  • The product shows advertising to a church's own members.

A tool that fails one of these gets no recommendation. If many churches use it anyway, its entry names what it failed, so a church already using it knows what to ask the vendor for.

Corrections

If a price or a fact here is wrong, write to hello@churchposting.com with the entry and the vendor page that shows the right figure. We fix the entry and change its date. The rest of how we work, and the public corrections log, are in the editorial standards.
