Terms of use

Using churchposting.com is free. These are the rules for the site, the listings, the job board and the free tools, in plain words.

What this site is

Church Posting publishes articles and free tools for churches, a church finder, a ministry job board, a hymn library and a church software directory at churchposting.com. Its forms send to our service at social.churchposting.com. Reading the site, listing a church and posting a job are free.

Who these terms cover

These terms cover churchposting.com and the free tools, forms and emails that run from it. The company is Ministry Marketing LLC, doing business as Church Posting, a Kansas company. Covenant OS, Berean Blue, Free Church Texting and Church SEO Experts have their own terms, and these terms do not cover their sites or apps.

Accounts and saved work

  • A free account uses a Covenant OS login. You keep that login secure and you are responsible for what happens under it.
  • An account can hold up to 100 documents and 200 KB per document. We may change those limits.
  • You own what you save. You give us permission to store it and show it back to you, and to publish a list only when you make a share link.
  • A share link makes one list readable by anyone who has the link. You can take the link down at any time.
  • You can delete your account at your account page. The privacy policy says what that removes.

Church listings

  • Any church that meets the standard for churches we list may be listed. The standard, and the document behind each decision, are published.
  • We compile a listing from what the church publishes about itself. To claim a listing, you confirm that you serve at the church, and we confirm it before we change the page.
  • A claim that does not affirm the standard, or that names a body outside it, is held for review.
  • By claiming or correcting a listing, you confirm that the church has authorized you and that what you send is true.
  • We may edit, decline or remove any listing, including for errors, impersonation or spam. A church we do not list can ask us to look again, as the standard page explains.

Job postings

  • Posting is free and needs a free account. A church posts the job, where to apply and, if it wishes, the pay and a closing date.
  • We check postings against the listing standard automatically, using the posting and the church's own website. Eligible postings publish automatically, and we may remove a posting when its church falls outside the standard.
  • A posting that falls outside the standard is declined, and the church receives an email that says so. Nothing from a declined posting is published or shared.
  • A posting that passes goes up on the job board, and the church receives an email with the link.
  • By posting, you confirm that the job is real, that the details are accurate and that you may post it for the church.
  • We take no part in hiring. Churches and candidates deal with each other directly, and we do not vouch for a candidate or an employer.
  • We may decline, edit or remove a posting, including one that is filled, closed, inaccurate or misleading.

Jobs and churches we find

Besides the postings churches send us, the board lists openings we find on churches' own careers pages and on the hiring systems churches publish them in, and the finder lists churches from their own websites. We do not copy listings from commercial job boards. A found opening shows the title, the church, the place and the dates, with a link to the page where the church published it. We check each church’s own website against the listing standard before its openings appear. A job whose church we could not confirm says so on its page. A job that closes or disappears from its source is marked closed, and its page stays for 180 days.

A church that wants a found listing corrected, claimed or removed can write to hello@churchposting.com, and we act on it. The privacy policy describes the rules our reader follows.

Articles and tools

The articles are free to read, quote and link to. Church Posting makes the free tools. The free tools are free to use in your church, and what you make with them is yours. Do not resell the articles or the tools, and do not republish them as your own product.

The hymn library holds the words of public domain hymns and licensing guides for copyrighted songs. A copyrighted song needs its own license, and the guides explain where to get one.

Our products and owners

Church Posting makes Covenant OS, Berean Blue, Free Church Texting and Church SEO Experts, and Ministry Marketing LLC, doing business as Church Posting is the company behind them. Scott and Will Hamilton, a father and son, own Church Posting. Each product answers for its own software, service and prices. A person can sign in to the free tools with a Covenant OS login, and the privacy policy says what that shares.

Covenant OS, Berean Blue, Free Church Texting, and Church SEO Experts are Church Posting's own products. Where a page on this site recommends one of them, it says so beside the recommendation.

Fair use of the site

We may block anyone who does any of these.

  • Sends false information, or pretends to be a church or a person.
  • Copies the church finder or the job board to send churches unwanted mail.
  • Posts content that is unlawful, deceptive or spam.
  • Interferes with the site, its forms or its sign-in.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We check church details against public sources when we publish them, and churches change their service times without telling us, so check with a church before you visit. The articles are general information and are not legal, tax or accounting advice. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using the site.

Governing law

The laws of the State of Florida in the United States govern these terms.
