Covenant describes itself as a confessionally Reformed PCA church and holds the Westminster Confession with the Larger and Shorter catechisms. Senior minister David B. McWilliams has served the congregation for more than three decades; he taught systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Dallas and has written commentaries on Galatians and Hebrews. Jeff McDonald, trained at Westminster Seminary California, serves as associate minister.
The Lord's Day carries morning worship at 10:30, evening worship at 5:00, and a Christian education hour at 9:15. A recent bulletin, headed "Order for the Public Worship of God," moves from call to worship through a confession of sin drawn from Calvin's liturgy, an assurance of pardon, the Apostles' Creed, and Trinity Hymnal hymns with organ and piano. The evening service that week reviewed Westminster Shorter Catechism questions 63 through 66.
