About the church
Providence is the Sovereign Grace Churches congregation for the Kansas City metro, listed in the denomination's official directory, and its about page also carries the Founders Ministries mark. The beliefs page affirms that the full range of spiritual gifts remains active today and that men and women share equal dignity while designed for differing and complementary roles in home and church.
Sunday worship starts at 10:00 AM: four songs, then a sermon of 35 to 40 minutes. The Bridge Course, a ten-week series of half-hour talks with discussion, is the front door for newcomers. Men meet in head-of-household gatherings with monthly apologetics teaching, the women's ministry is built on Titus 2 mentorship, and college ministry reaches Johnson County Community College students.
