Believe true leadership begins with service.

We believe God is raising up a new generation of leaders to guide His Church with faith, excellence, and boldness both today and in the years to come. If you sense God’s call to serve and lead in ministry, and you’re ready to be equipped for a lifetime of Kingdom impact, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Program

Residents will spend time in a dynamic learning environment, engaging in theological training and practical leadership development that will serve as a foundation for their entire ministry career. In addition to classroom learning, residents gain valuable hands-on experience by serving in areas that match their passions and interests, such as Kids, Students, College, Missions, Worship, and Communications. This unique balance of education and real-world ministry prepares residents to lead with confidence, character, and a heart for the local church.

As a resident, you can expect to be:

  • Trained with excellence in a classroom setting 3 days per week at our Reservoir (Brandon, MS) campus, covering practical ministry skills, theology, leadership development, and strategic church operations.
  • Placed in real ministry roles 2 days per week, serving in rotations based on gifting, interest, and ministry needs at one of our metro campuses (Reservoir, Clinton, or Madison).
  • Mentored by seasoned ministry leaders who invest in your personal discipleship, leadership, and spiritual health.
  • Engaged in mission opportunities, both local and global, to expand your perspective and influence.

Upon completing your first year, you may have the opportunity to return for a second year, serving in a more specialized ministry role at one of Pinelake’s campuses while continuing your leadership training.

We’ll connect quickly if you are:

  • Already leading in your current ministry context.
  • Passionate about seeing God transform lives.
  • A team player who is teachable and eager to grow.
  • An influencer of people in any environment.
  • Motivated to be developed into a ministry leader who leads yourself, others, and ministries well.

You’ll thrive with us if you:

  • Love going the extra mile to lead with excellence.
  • Serve with passion and purpose.
  • Have an unshakable drive to share the hope of Christ.
  • Believe true leadership begins with service.
  • Audaciously believe God is doing something fresh in your generation through the local church.

All successful candidates are expected to:

  • Have a mature, growing relationship with Christ.
  • Be able to articulate how this residency will help you honor God’s call for your future.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (additional education is valued).
  • Fully agree with Pinelake’s Core Beliefs and Vision + Mission + Values

To complete the application process, one must:

  • Fill out the online application
  • Upload all required documents, including:
  • Resume
  • If applying for residency with an interest in worship, include a video link of a worship-leading sample on your resume
  • Completed questionnaires
