Part-time Childcare Worker

Description

A childcare worker provides safe, loving, and dependable care for children that supports families and the ministry of the church while parents attend church activities.

Requirements

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for infants through 5th grade.
• Supervise children and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, activities, books, and music.
• Assist with basic needs such as feeding and diapering as needed.
• Comfort and encourage children as needed.
• Follow all church childcare, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Communicate appropriately with parents, staff, and other childcare workers.
• Keep childcare rooms and supplies clean and organized.
• Report injuries, safety concerns, or other significant incidents to the childcare coordinator.
• Attend required training and follow established policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
• Childcare, preschool, school, camp, babysitting, or church nursery experience
• Experience working with groups of children is a plus
